Le programme Fourrures authentiques de la vallée du Mackenzie (FAVM) offre aux trappeurs des TNO un accès direct au marché international de la fourrure par l’entremise de ventes aux enchères. Le résultat de ces ventes contribue à démontrer les retombées positives qu’a le trappage pour les Ténois et la nécessité de continuer à soutenir cet important mode de vie traditionnel. Le gouvernement des Territoires du Nord-Ouest s’est engagé à continuer à soutenir cette activité afin d’assurer la pérennité de ce mode de vie sain.
