In 2003, the Waste Reduction and Recovery Act (WRRA) was created to help keep waste out of Northwest Territories (NWT) landfills and off the land by the Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) regulating the reduction and recovery of waste.
Adoptée en 2003, la Loi sur la réduction et la récupération des déchets (ci-après « la Loi ») a pour but d’empêcher que les déchets soient abandonnés dans les décharges ou dans la nature aux Territoires du Nord-Ouest (TNO). À cette fin, la Loi autorise le gouvernement des Territoires du Nord-Ouest (GTNO) à réglementer la réduction et la récupération des déchets.
The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) is developing a new Forest Act to amend and combine the existing Forest Management Act and the Forest Protection Act.
