Comme son nom l’indique, le Programme de surveillance des effets cumulatifs des Territoires du Nord-Ouest (PSECTNO) permet la surveillance des effets cumulatifs et le suivi des tendances environnementales. Ainsi, ses responsables coordonnent, dirigent et financent des projets de surveillance et de recherche sur l’environnement.

Les résultats sont mis à la disposition des décideurs qui peuvent ainsi employer les ressources naturelles de façon judicieuse.
