I know that Minister Ramsay and MLAs Bromley and Hawkins wanted to be here this evening but are traveling on business right now and weren't able to make it back for this meeting. Premier McLeod also had another commitment, but is very interested in hearing from me about tonight’s discussion.

(September 19, 2013) - I am pleased to be here to show the Government of the Northwest Territories support for the United Way and to encourage everyone here to get involved in making your community a safe, healthy place for all of our families. Children with a good start are less likely to fall behind in school and get in trouble with the law. They grow up to be healthy adults who are less likely to live in poverty or have issues with addictions.

(September 19, 2013) - Good morning. I appreciate having the opportunity to speak today as part of the Alaska Oil and Gas Congress about how the Northwest Territories is working to find innovative solutions to getting our resources to market. This is a topic that is of great interest to us in the NWT, as it’s never been a question of having the resources, but how to get those resources from the ground to the marketplace.

(September 11, 2013) - Welcome to the Arctic Council’s Conservation of Arctic Flora and Fauna working group, and to attendees of the Parks and Protected Areas Seminar with the Northwest Territories, Finland and Norway.

It is a pleasure to be able to welcome such an expert group of individuals to the Northwest Territories, from circumpolar countries and beyond.

Yellowknife embodies, in my mind, some of the greatest attributes of living, working and investing in Canada’s Northwest Territories.
