YELLOWKNIFE (May 26, 2014) – Fred Henne and Blackstone Territorial Parks made the list of “Best Family Campgrounds in Canada” in Today’s Parent Magazine. The article, published online in early May, is a timely piece according to Industry, Tourism and Investment Minister David Ramsay.
“It is great to see parks from the Dehcho and North Slave Region featured in a family-oriented magazine with a national reach at the start of our camping season,” Minister Ramsay said. “We invest heavily in our territorial parks to ensure they are safe and fun for families and it’s great to see that investment paying off with this kind of recognition. This kind of exposure will help to attract new visitors to our spectacular parks.”
Both parks received glowing recommendations from the magazine, which detailed the types of sites available and park amenities and attractions. Readers were directed to NWTparks.ca for additional information.
