August 19, 2011 - The Honourable Jackson Lafferty, Minister of Education, Culture and Employment (ECE) will honour the first recipients of the Minister’s Cultural Circle Awards on Monday, August 22, 2011.

The Minister’s Cultural Circle celebrates those individuals that have made significant contributions to preserve and promote the cultures in the Northwest Territories.

The Minister’s Cultural Circle Awards will highlight the achievement and commitment of local cultural leaders, practitioners, and groups, recognizing grassroots community-based projects as well as regional and territorial initiatives.
