December 6, 2011 – To accommodate the NWT laboratory computer system replacement December 5-9, please note the following closure dates for each laboratory:
- Fort Smith Health Centre – Laboratory will be closed for the week of December 5-9. It will reopen for regular service on December 12. In addition, outpatient services and routine x-rays will be closed from December 5-9 and will reopen on December 12.
- H H Williams Memorial Hospital – Laboratory will be closed for the week of December 5-9. It will reopen for regular service on December 12.
- Inuvik Regional Hospital – Laboratory will not be closed, but there may be delays in receiving results from routine/non-urgent tests during the week of December 5-9.
- Yellowknife Primary Care Centre – Laboratory Services will be closed on December 5-6. It will reopen for regular service on December 7.
- Stanton Territorial Hospital – The Laboratory Outpatient Department will be closed for the week of December 5-9. It will reopen for regular service on December 12.
During the closure, non-urgent lab services (blood work, urine samples, etc.) will not be provided. The closure should only result in minor delays to the processing of regular lab work. The laboratories will process all inpatient and emergency lab services orders only. We apologize for this inconvenience.
