Yellowknife (June 4, 2014) – Premier Bob McLeod recognized individual employees, teams of employees and their collaborative partners from outside the public service with the Premier’s Awards for Excellence and Collaboration in a ceremony in the Great Hall of the Legislative Assembly this morning.

“Today we celebrate outstanding accomplishments during the past year,” said the Premier. “The energy, drive and commitment to implement and achieve our priorities is evident throughout the entire public service, and it is important to recognize those employees who have gone above and beyond in accomplishing their duties.”

Premier McLeod also presented the Dave Ramsden Career Excellence Award to Mr. Warren St. Germaine, Comptroller General with the Department of Finance. This award recognizes the outstanding achievements of an individual with 20 or more years of experience in the GNWT public service. Mr. St. Germaine has held progressively more senior positions leading to his current position as Comptroller General. Over this time, he has earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues for his leadership on a wide range of territorial and national accounting policy and auditing projects.
