YELLOWKNIFE (March 23, 2012) – Media are invited to attend a teacher training workshop for the new Respect Yourself sexual health lesson plan kit being held March 26 and 27th in Yellowknife.
The workshop will provide information to teachers to help students develop the knowledge, skills and motivation to learn about their sexual health and to make healthy choices.
The lesson plan kit provides a resource for educators who teach human sexuality to youth in community- and school-based settings and complements the NWT health curriculum. It will be distributed to teachers across the Northwest Territories and posted on the Respect Yourself website.
The Respect Yourself campaign targets youth aged 15 to 24 to provide information about sexual health.
