October 21, 2011 - For September 2011, Statistics Canada estimates that 23,800 out of 32,200 residents 15 years of age and older were employed in the Northwest Territories, representing an employment rate  of 73.9%. Overall, Canada’s employment rate stood at 62.6% in September.

August 24, 2011 - Information released today by Statistics Canada indicates that the Yellowknife All-Items Consumer Price Index rose 3.4% from July 2010. By comparison, the annual price increase was 2.7% for Canada, 1.9% for Edmonton, and 3.1% for Whitehorse.
