Job Information
As a member of the Patient Registration Services team, the Registration Clerk is responsible for receiving and directing patients and visitors, operating the switchboard and the public address system, registering patients, processes patient pre-admissions, admissions, discharges and transfers. The incumbent will perform data integrity control of the Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI) to ensure patient health information is accurate. The Registration Clerk provides reception and information services to assist patients, families and visitors to navigate to appropriate programs and services within Stanton Territorial Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Ability to work in a computerized environment with Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of and the ability to utilize appropriate medical terminology.
- Ability to use databases, and a switchboard phone system.
- Ability to work in a high traffic environment and maintain patient confidentiality.
Key Qualifications
- Completion of Grade 12, and the successful completion of an approved Basic Medical Terminology course, and one (1) year of related work experience in an administrative setting of a health care or medical facility.
- Equivalencies:
- The completion of a medical administration certificate and one (1) year of related work experience in an administrative setting of a health care or medical facility.

Salary Information
The salary range for this position is from $35.23 per hour to $42.07 per hour (approximately $68,699 - $82,037) plus an annual Northern Allowance of $3,700.
