Job Information

Are you an organized, compassionate professional with a high level of interpersonal skills ready to make a meaningful impact? In this vital role, you will role-model vigilance in ensuring the highest of quality care to all age groups ranging from neonate to geriatrics. As the Territorial Specialist you will be called upon to address a variety of issues on a daily basis including addressing clients' complaints, providing advice and direction to other Territorial Leads and Specialists, and representing the NTHSSA in meetings or conferences. You will provide leadership, training, planning and support to all laboratory Point of Care Testing (POCT) services under this portfolio, including those completed outside the laboratory setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the variability in Laboratory Services practice settings within the authority to determine areas in which to improve client care/service outcomes, quality, or efficiencies.
  • Evaluate Laboratory Services client care/service excellence from a structure, process and outcomes framework.
  • Champion safety, quality care and evidence-based practice.

Key Qualifications
Laboratory Technologist Certification plus ten (10) years recent experience of a clinical health care setting.

Equivalencies will be determined on a case-by-case basis

Labour Market Supplement

The successful incumbent will receive a $10,000 supplement upon hire and an additional $10,000 supplement after completion of 12 months of continuous employment contingent on remaining employed in an eligible position for a further 12 months.   This is a taxable benefit and will be subject to applicable deductions

Registrations
