Job Information
The Accounting, Budgeting and Financial Analyst compiles data, reviews, monitors and reports on contributions to third party funders. The position carries a high level of responsibility as the performed budget analysis on base and third party budgets is the basis for Aurora College’s planning and decision making. The position reviews financial records and maintains a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality in managing and reporting on College staff salary data. The budgeting and reporting process involves many deadlines and the timely and accurate preparation of information is critical in meeting targeted deadlines. The position is also responsible for responding to ad hoc financial information requests on behalf of the Director of Finance/CFO.
The Accounting, Budgeting and Financial Analyst will have knowledge of Annual Budget and Financial Cycles and knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). They will a high degree of proficiency in using computer software applications (particularly spreadsheet, database and statistical applications), knowledge of cash flows and historical trend analysis. The Analyst will accurately review, prepare and monitor budgets, expenditures and financial records, they will also have advanced communication and presentation skills as well as concern for order, quality and compliance and the ability to cooperate with and respect others and high degree of adaptability, and be able to work in team and must assist and care for others.
These skills are normally acquired through completion of Degree in Commerce, Major in accounting in Canada or completion of 4th level of a recognized professional accounting program (i.e. Certified General Accountant (CGA), Chartered Accountant (CA), or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) as well as 3 years of directly related experience.

Salary Information
The salary range for this position is from $49.68 per hour to $59.35per hour (approximately $96,876 - $115,732.50.) plus an annual Northern Allowance of $7,100.
