Job Information

Join the Tlicho Community Services Agency (TCSA) and play a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors of the Jimmy Erasmus Seniors Home located in Behchoko, NT. Reporting to the Long-Term Care Facility Coordinator, the Housekeeper-Maintainer ensures sanitary and hygienic conditions in the facility's common areas and residential units. Responsibilities include janitorial and housekeeping duties, routine building and vehicle maintenance, and occupational health and safety monitoring. Your work directly supports the well-being of residents by preventing hazards and ensuring the longevity of facility equipment and grounds

KEY QUALIFITIONS

  • Completion of grade 12
  • 1 Year institutional housekeeping, environmental services, building maintenance, or related is required
  • Experience working with a healthcare setting would be an asset.
  • An acceptable criminal records check is required and must be maintained.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • CPR and Basic First Aid training
  • WHMIS Training
  • Class 5 Driver¿s License

Equivalencies may include 

  • Two (2) years of experience in housekeeping/ Janitorial or maintenance position in a health care setting.
  • All other equivalencies will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
