Job Information
The Out of School Care Program Provider supports the implementation of programming and supervision for all
Commission scolaire francophone des Territoires du Nord-Ouest's out of school care for students ages 4 to 12
to ensure that all children are provided with safe and stimulating out of school care.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of and/or the ability to acquire and apply knowledge fundamentals of child development.
- Ability to provide general care of children and ensure safe and appropriate environment and activities for children.
- Ability to build positive relationships with families, children and colleagues.
- Ability to complete work according to standards and procedures.
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to ensure professional and courteous service.
- Problem-solving / decision-making / conflict management and resolution skills.
Typically, the above qualifications would be attained by:
Completion of High School and one (1) year of child care experience
Equivalencies may include;
- Certificate in Early Learning and Child Care and 6 months of child care experience
Additional Requirements
- The completion of the NWT Essentials training is mandatory within 6 month of hire.
- Current First Aid and infant/child CPR certifications
- Up-to-date immunizations
- Tuberculosis screening

Salary Information
The salary range for this position is from $31.58 per hour to $37.74 per hour (approximately $22,169 - $26,493.) plus a pro-rated annual Northern Allowance of $2.32 per hour.
