Each April since 1947, led by the Canadian Wildlife Federation, Canadians celebrate National Wildlife Week. April 2018 was chosen as the month to celebrate the birthday of Jack Miner, pioneer of wildlife conservation.

This year, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (ENR) is spotlighting lady beetles.  These tiny but often overlooked and misunderstood insects are an important part of the Northwest Territories (NWT) ecosystem.

Check out the new Lady Beetle video and watch how the beetles are released into the Inuvik Greenhouse on an annual basis!
