Soon after the spill was reported, contaminated soil around the berm was removed and replaced with clean soil. In winter 2017, AOGS removed the leaked tank and a berm under the tank and disposed them offsite. In summer 2017, soil was inspected that had been under the berm, the soil had the texture and strong smell of hydrocarbon contamination. ILA requests AOGS to remediate the contaminated soil and provide confirmatory testing.
