On August 18th, 2020 the Inspector was onsite at the Snap Lake Diamond Mine and determined the washed out berms at the top and the toe of the slope have been properly reinforced. It appeared the water quality in the area remained unaffected by the flushing of sediments down the slope. The Inspector recommends closure of the spill as it appeared repairs to the water line have been completed and no further spillage was noted. Photos of the site are provided in the attached.
