6JUN2022 12:30 WRO attended spill location. Fuel oil appears to be leaking from seals of rusty tank on camper. Spoke to home/camper owner. He said he would drain tank, spread cat litter to absorb fuel, and shovel up gravel / litter that has absorbed fuel. Max tank volume is ~45 L, so technically not a reportable spill. Recommend closing file.

Additional information received via email 20:57/2022-06-02 from City of Yellowknife dispatch. Spill report updated by ECCC NEEC. IB. Update 1- Officers were on site and they said the spill is on a private property, therefore it’s out of their jurisdiction. They weren’t able to determine what the substance really is. But they mentioned that it’s not actively leaking. Caller is waiting for instruction from LA to send FD.
