Tree species in the NWT

Eleven species of tree can be found in the NWT. These are:

  • balsam poplar
  • black spruce
  • dwarf birch
  • jack pine
  • mountain alder
  • paper birch
  • subalpine fir
  • tamarack
  • trembling aspen
  • white spruce
  • willows
