This lightning cause fire is 33km south-southwest of Norman Wells on the West side of the Mackenzie River. It is currently 90 hectares in size and considered out of control.

Smoke may be visible from Norman Wells. Current southwesterly winds will be pushing the fire to the northeast, back towards the mountains. There is no risk to communities, infrastructure or cabins at this time.
