September 23, 2011 - September 23 to October 2, 2011 is NWT Arts Week, a celebration of the arts and fine crafts community and the significant cultural and economic contributions the arts and crafts sector makes to NWT communities. Various events are being held to showcase the diverse talent of NWT artists, allow artists to develop their skills through workshops, and provide networking opportunities. In the NWT, the production of arts and fine crafts is also an important element of a diversified economy.
September 20, 2011 - The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT), in partnership with the NWT Recreation and Parks Association (NWTRPA), is offering $750 Get Active NWT grants to community groups to help residents get active this year.
