YELLOWKNIFE (May 6, 2013) – The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) is participating in the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission’s (CRTC) proceedings to review Northwestel’s Modernization Plan and Other Matters. GNWT submissions to the CRTC may be found on the Department of Finance website.

YELLOWKNIFE (April 26, 2013) – Northwest Territories (NWT) Commissioner George Tuccaro and Minister of Education, Culture and Employment Jackson Lafferty took part in the launch of Northern Scene at the National Arts Centre (NAC) yesterday. More than 70 artists from multiple disciplines will be representing the NWT during the festival, which will be held in Ottawa from April 25 to May 4, 2013.
YELLOWKNIFE (March 22, 2013) – The Sambaa K’e Dene Band is winner of the first Council of the Federation (COF) Excellence in Water Stewardship Award for the Northwest Territories (NWT).
The award recognizes outstanding achievement, innovative practice and in leadership in the area water stewardship and is presented to organizations, partnerships, business, institutions and communities in each province and territory.

Good afternoon. I am pleased to speak with you today to share the views of the Government of the Northwest Territories on Canada’s Arctic Foreign Policy.
Context
(February 28, 2013) - Mr. Speaker, I am pleased to advise Members that the Tłįchǫ Government will be signing the Devolution AiP.
YELLOWKNIFE (February 28, 2013) – Premier Bob McLeod and Grand Chief Eddie Erasmus announced today that the Tłįchǫ Government will become a party to the Devolution Agreement-in-Principle.
YELLOWKNIFE (February 14, 2013) – Members of the Executive Councils of the Tłįchǫ Government and the 17th Legislative Assembly met bilaterally on Friday, February 8th. This was the third meeting between the two Executives and reflects the continuing development of their government-to-government relationship and commitment to working collaboratively on behalf of the Tłįchǫ people and all residents of the Northwest Territories.
