15 NWT projects receive Mineral Incentive Program funding for 2025/2026

The GNWT has posted the funding allocation for the Mineral Incentive Program (MIP) 2025/2026 intake period. 15 total projects have received funding, including two Prospector Projects and 13 Corporate Projects:
 

  • Corporate Projects:

    • Fireweed Metals Corp — Gayna Project
    • Gold Mining Inc. — Yellowknife Gold
    • Gold Terra Resource Corp. — Northbelt – Mispickel
    • Gold Terra Resource Corp. — South Belt – Con Deep
    • Golden Pursuit Resources Ltd. — Gordon Lake
    • Northern Critical Metals Corp. -- Tharsis
    • Panarc Resources Ltd. — Indian Mountain Lake
    • Rackla Metals Inc. — O’Grady – Lened
    • Redbed Resources Corp. – Redstone Regional
    • Sixty North Gold Corp. — Mon
    • Slave Lake Zinc Corp. -- O’Connor Lake
    • White Cliff Minerals Ltd. — Spark Plug
  • Prospector Projects:
    • Jared Suchan
    • Stephane Poitras

MIP provides annual funding for proposed new exploration projects or ongoing mineral exploration work in the Northwest Territories. Funding is divided into a prospector funding stream (up to $25,000 per project) and a corporate funding stream (up to $240,000 per project).
