Minister of Health and Social Services Glen Abernethy has released the new 2019 Health and Social Services Northwest Territories Help Directory. The Help Directory is available in print and online in both English and French.
The Help Directory is designed to assist NWT residents by providing up-to-date contact information on health services available to them. The 2019 edition includes new information such as the:
- Recognition of the traditional names of communities;
- Acknowledgement of the new Territorial Health Authority and its respective regions;
- Addition of new organizations and services such as the new Day Shelter & Sobering Centre in Yellowknife and Norman Well’s Sahtu Got’ine Regional Health and Social Services Centre; and
- The inclusion of all of the NWT’s current Indigenous Governments and Organizations.
This document provides a convenient one-stop shop for all current health services available to residents in the NWT.
Note: Changes to programs, services, and office locations may occur after the publication of this book. However, the Department will be updating the online PDF version as updates/changes in services occur. The online version is available at https://www.hss.gov.nt.ca.
