As of April 30, 2024, vehicles that have been parked in the Inuvik Mike Zubko Airport parking lot for more than three months will be considered abandoned and towed at the owner’s expense, unless arrangements are made with the airport manager.
Starting May 1, 2024, drivers who want to leave their vehicle in the airport parking lot for more than one month will need to make arrangements with the airport manager to do so. Otherwise, any vehicles left for more than one month will be considered abandoned and removed from the parking lot at the owner’s expense.
Abandoned vehicles are taking up space and interfering with maintenance activities at the Inuvik Mike Zubko Airport. As outlined in the Motor Vehicles Act, airport managers in the Northwest Territories have authority to remove abandoned vehicles.
