Apprenticeship, Trade and Occupation Certification Board – Call for Applications

The Apprenticeship, Trade and Occupation Certification Board is seeking applications for an Employee Representative to serve a three-year term.

The Board advises the Minister of Education, Culture and Employment on matters related to the training and certification of apprentices, trades, and occupations. It is made up of seven members representing the public, employers, and employees working in designated trades and occupations across the Northwest Territories.

Applicants do not need to hold a journeyperson or occupational certification, but interest and experience in this area are important. Members must be willing to commit the necessary time and energy to the role. The Board typically meets quarterly, and as required.

Board members receive remuneration of up to $250 per day for meeting attendance.

Interested individuals are invited to submit a resume and letter of interest to apprenticeship@gov.nt.ca by 5:00 p.m. MST, September 19, 2025.
