YELLOWKNIFE (January 16, 2012) -- Souvenir licence plates featuring new designs and the trademarked polar bear shape are now available through Northwest Territories Tourism (NWTT), which has been designated as the exclusive distributor of NWT souvenir plates around the world.

November 23, 2011 -Today is the National Day of Remembrance for victims of road crashes in Canada. Each day, an average of six people lose their lives due to collisions on Canada’s streets and highways.
November 7, 2011 – The Department of Public Works and Services will host the 2011 Project Management Conference from November 29 to December 1. Over 300 delegates are expected to attend.
November 3, 2011 - Operations of the Johnny Berens (N’Dulee crossing) and the Louis Cardinal (Arctic Red River crossing) have ceased for the season.
October 31, 2011 - The Lafferty ferry at the Fort Liard crossing near Fort Simpson has resumed service and is forecast to end operations for the season on November 4.
August 26, 2011 - The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) opened its new Data Centre today. Minister Responsible for Public Works and Services Michael McLeod, officially cut the ribbon on the new facility this afternoon.
