Premiers from Yukon, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut have reached an agreement with the federal government on behalf of their governments which will increase federal funding to improve health care for northern residents.
IQALUIT (December 22, 2016) – The Premiers of Nunavut and the Northwest Territories are expressing concern over this week’s announcement of an indefinite moratorium on offshore oil and gas development by the Government of Canada.
YELLOWKNIFE (December 19, 2016) – Premier Bob McLeod announced two appointments to the senior ranks of the territorial public service today.
OTTAWA (November 28, 2016) – Premier Bob McLeod and Cabinet discussed opportunities for working with the Government of Canada during a week of successful meetings with Federal Ministers, Members of Parliament and Parliamentary Standing Committees in Ottawa.

Before Minister McLeod gets into his presentation, I wanted to take a few minutes to introduce you to the Northwest Territories and some of the challenges we face.
Premier Bob McLeod and his cabinet colleagues are meeting with Federal Ministers, Members of Parliament and Parliamentary Standing Committees this week to discuss three priorities of the Northwest Territories in relation to the Pan-Canadian Framework on Climate Change.
