A new survey needs input and feedback from businesses across the Northwest Territories in order to serve you better. The survey will provide the Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) with the information and feedback needed to improve supports, funding and programming available to the territory’s business community.

These engagements will also provide the GNWT with a better understanding of NWT trade activities, business readiness for upcoming federal government investments, and opportunities for growth across the Northwest Territories. This includes getting answers to the following:

• How are NWT businesses importing and exporting goods and services?
• What kind of barriers and challenges exist when trying to access new markets?
• What supports are needed to strengthen trade and economic participation?
• How prepared are you, as a business, to benefit from emerging economic opportunities associated with upcoming federal investment projects? What is needed to feel more prepared?

Information gathered will help inform programs, services, and policy development that support Northwest Territories businesses.

Additionally, businesses can share their perspectives on workforce capacity, financing access, overall preparedness, barriers to growth, and the supports that would help them successfully participate in future opportunities.

Your voice is crucial. Every business that operates in the Northwest Territories has valuable feedback and knowledge to contribute.

In order to diversify the Northwest Territories’ economy and create new opportunities for Northerners, NWT businesses must be supported and feel ready to benefit from upcoming investments. We cannot achieve this without your feedback.
