The Apprenticeship, Trade and Occupation Certification Board is seeking applications for Employee and Employer Representatives to fill a three-year term. To support continuity of Board operations, some appointments may be set at two years to ensure staggered terms.
The Board advises the Minister of Education, Culture and Employment on matters related to the training and certification of apprentices, trades and occupations. It consists of seven industry members representing the public, employers and employees working in designated trades and occupations across the Northwest Territories.
While you do not need to possess journeyperson or occupational certification to be eligible, interest and experience in this area are important. Applicants must be prepared to commit the necessary time and energy to the role. The Board typically meets quarterly and as required.
Board members receive remuneration of up to $250 per day for each day of meetings.
Interested applicants can send their resume and letter of interest to apprenticeship@gov.nt.ca.
Deadline for applications is 5 p.m. on April 17, 2026.
