The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) is looking for individuals from the Beaufort Delta and Sahtu regions with a passion for the arts, culture, and heritage to join the NWT Arts Council for a two-year term starting September 1, 2023.
The deadline to apply is August 1, 2023.
Council members provide recommendations to the Minister of Education, Culture and Employment (ECE) on financial awards for creative artistic projects in the visual, literary, media and performing arts, and on issues and policies associated with the arts and artists.
To be eligible:
- You must live in the region you apply for
- You or your spouse cannot be currently receiving NWT Art Council funding
- Experience and knowledge in the arts, culture and/or heritage is an asset
Previous board experience is not needed.
