YELLOWKNIFE (September 12, 2012) – Premier McLeod and members of the NWT delegation taking part in the Council of the Federation (COF) trade mission to China are scheduled to participate in the following planned meetings and events:

The Premier will deliver remarks at the Meet the Canadian Premiers panel and the Canadian Tourism Commission luncheon in Beijing, as well as the Canadian Chamber of Commerce luncheon in Shanghai.

Planned meetings and events are accurate as of September 11, 2012 and are subject to change.

Participating in the COF trade mission to China will establish connections that will grow the NWT economy, especially in tourism, mining and the fur industry. It will promote investment in our territory and help NWT businesses learn about new opportunities in China. A strong, diversified economy that provides opportunities and choices to all communities and regions is one of the goals of the 17th Legislative Assembly.
