Effective today, fuel prices have been updated in 11 communities serviced by the Department of Infrastructure’s Petroleum Products Program.
Prices have been updated in Colville Lake, Délı̨nę, Gamètì, Jean Marie River, Nahanni Butte, Sambaa K’e, Tsiigehtchic, Tulita, Wekweètì, Whatì, and Wrigley to reflect the cost of fuel delivered through the 2026 winter resupply program. In some instances, changes may only affect certain fuel types.
The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) is required to set retail fuel prices at amounts that recover the full laid-in cost of fuel, including wholesale purchase and transportation costs. Fuel prices are adjusted periodically following seasonal resupply activities to reflect changes in fuel and transportation costs.
The Department of Infrastructure manages the purchase, transportation and storage of bulk petroleum products for 16 NWT communities that are not serviced by the private sector: Colville Lake, Délı̨nę, Fort Good Hope, Gamètì, Jean Marie River, Łutselk’e, Nahanni Butte, Paulatuk, Sachs Harbour, Sambaa K’e, Tsiigehtchic, Tulita, Ulukhaktok, Wekweètì, Whatì, and Wrigley.
More information, including current fuel prices for all communities serviced by the GNWT, is available at www.inf.gov.nt.ca/en/services/fuel-services/prices.
