August 19, 2011 - The Minister of Industry, Tourism and Investment (ITI), the Minister of Education, Culture and Employment (ECE), and the Chairman of the Board of Canadian Zinc Corporation will sign a Socio-Economic Agreement (SEA) on Monday, August 22, 2011, for the proposed Prairie Creek Mine.

The Prairie Creek SEA formalizes commitments by Canadian Zinc with respect to employment, training, business opportunities and other related benefits for Northwest Territories (NWT) residents. It also details measures to monitor and adapt to possible socio-economic impacts related to the proposed project.
