Have your say on the delivery of Management and Leadership certificate programs at Collège Nordique Francophone

Public Service Announcement

Yellowknife — September 11, 2025

The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) is looking for your input on a new post-secondary program in the territory.

Collège Nordique Francophone hopes to offer a Management and Leadership Certificate program. If approved, the first students would take this program in January 2026.

The Management and Leadership Certificate program is targeted at individuals who hold a management position within an organization or aspire to do so. Students will have the opportunity to learn fundamental management concepts and techniques. They will also explore their identity and styles as leaders. Additionally, the program will help students grasp the challenges, opportunities and realities of the Northern job market.

In December 2022, the Northwest Territories Post-Secondary Education Act and Regulations took effect. This was part of the GNWT’s effort to build a thorough post-secondary education system. In this system, an institution applies to offer a post-secondary program in the NWT. This application is open for review for 15 business days. During this time, the public and existing NWT post-secondary institutions review the application.

Public input will be collected until October 3, 2025.
