Give feedback on Collège Nordique Francophone’s proposal to offer a new Business Administration Techniques diploma in the Northwest Territories (NWT).
If approved, the proposed program would begin in September 2026.
The Business Administration Techniques diploma is designed to help students understand how organizations are run and how to support day to day business operations. The program would be offered in partnership with Collège La Cité and delivered remotely through La Cité’s online learning platform, with the option for students to reserve space at Collège Nordique Francophone to attend courses online.
The program would include a mandatory 420-hour internship. Students who are already employed may be able to complete the internship in their workplace with employer approval. Other students may complete their internship with Francophone organizations in the Northwest Territories, Yukon, or Nunavut, including community organizations and businesses.
The program would be open to Canadian citizens and permanent residents. Graduates may be eligible to request a transfer into another business program to further specialize in areas of administration.
Since December 2022, the Post Secondary Education Act and Regulations have guided the GNWT’s work to build a comprehensive post-secondary education system. Under these requirements, when a post secondary institution applies to offer a new program, the application is posted publicly for 15 business days to allow the public and other NWT postsecondary institutions to review and provide feedback. https://haveyoursay.nwt-tno.ca/proposed-business-administration-techniques-diploma-at-college-nordique-francophone
Public feedback on the application can be submitted until June 10, 2026. Comments will be considered as part of the GNWT’s review process.
