The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) wants to hear from you about an application from Collège Nordique Francophone to offer two new programs: a Public Relations Diploma program and a Business Administration Practices Certificate program. If approved, these programs will start in September 2025.
The proposed Public Relations Diploma will teach students how to plan and implement communications activities. Courses cover oral and written communication, camera work, monitoring, research and data analysis. Graduates will know how to create relationships with media and influencers and how to create content for traditional and digital platforms.
The Business Administration Practices Certificate will teach students about how organizations are run. Courses include management, basic accounting, finance, and marketing. After completing the certificate, students can transfer to another business program to specialize in areas like accounting, finance, or marketing programs.
Since December 2022, the Northwest Territories Post-Secondary Education Act and Regulations have guided the GNWT’s work to build a comprehensive post-secondary education system. Within the services standards, when a post-secondary institution wants to start a new program, the public and NWT post-secondary institutions can review and give feedback for 15 business days.
Please share your input by March 10, 2025.
