YELLOWKNIFE (July 17, 2012) – The Northwest Territories Housing Corporation (NWTHC) will be accepting applications for 2013-2014 Housing Choices programs from August 1 to October 15, 2012.

Housing Choices provides support to help to low- and modest-income residents of the NWT become homeowners, complete preventative maintenance or major repairs to their homes, or learn more about owning a home.

“The Housing Choices programs offered by the NWTHC help improve the standard of living in the North. Our broad range of programs means that all Northerners have an opportunity for adequate, suitable and affordable housing,” said the Honourable Robert C. McLeod, Minister Responsible for the NWT Housing Corporation.

Housing Choices includes four programs. Access to assistance is application-based. NWTHC staff will be visiting each community to accept applications. Anyone interested in applying for Housing Choices should call their NWTHC District Office to schedule an appointment today.
