INUVIK  (September 11, 2012) - Three Inuvik residents were honoured with the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal during the community's Diamond Jubilee celebrations last weekend.

On September 8, Alfred Moses, MLA for Inuvik Boot Lake, presented medals to:

• Peter Clarkson


• Duane Smith


• Fred Carmichael

 

This commemorative medal has been created by the Government of Canada to recognize the outstanding contributions and achievements of 60,000 deserving Canadians of all ages and from all walks of life.  This medal program is one of the elements of the year-long Diamond Jubilee celebrations, and a list of NWT recipients is available on the GNWT's website.
