Minister of Health and Social Services Resigns

March 28, 2011 - Minister of Health and Social Services Sandy Lee tendered her resignation to the Premier on Saturday.

Premier Floyd K. Roland thanks Ms. Lee for her hard work and strong leadership as a Member the 16th Legislative Assembly’s Executive Council.

“Ms. Lee’s energy and passion will be missed,” he noted. “We wish her all the best in her future endeavours.”

During her term as Minister of Health and Social Services, Ms. Lee was instrumental in advancing the Department’s strategic plan “A Foundation for Change,” and oversaw the introduction of an electronic health records system, and the opening of the Aven Cottages Territorial Dementia Facility.

Hon. J. Michael Miltenberger will assume responsibility for Ms. Lee’s ministerial portfolios until further notice.
