Ministerial Activities Advisory for the week of April 14-20, 2026

Ministerial Travel 

Please note that travel schedules may change with little or no notice. This schedule is accurate as of April 13, 2026. 

  • Minister Macdonald and Minister Cleveland will be traveling to Ottawa, ON, on April 14 to:
    • Meet with Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister for Minister of Jobs and Families and Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Northern Ontario in Ottawa.
    • Meet with Honourable Julie Dabrusin Minister of Environment and Climate Change of Canada in Ottawa on April 14 (Minister Macdonald)
    • Meet with Honourable Tim Hodgson, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources in Ottawa on April 14. (Minister Cleveland)
  • Minister Wawzonek will be traveling to Fort Smith, NT, on April 15 to attend a Taltson Steering Committee Meeting.
  • Minister Macdonald will be traveling to Tsiigehtchic, NT, on April 16 to participate in a public meeting with Chief Superintendent Dyson Smith of the RCMP.
  • Minister McKay will be traveling to Regina, SK, April 16 & 17 to attend the Western Transportation Advisory Council (WESTAC) AGM.
  • Premier Simpson will be traveling to Ottawa, ON, April 19-20 to attend the Future of Business Summit.

  • Minister Macdonald will be providing remarks at the Spring Fire Meeting in Yellowknife on April 15 in Yellowknife.
  • Premier Simpson, Minister Semmler and Minister Kuptana will be virtually attending the Council of Leaders – Northern Health Assessment Review on April 16.
  • Minister Cleveland will be meeting with Collège Nordique on April 16 in Yellowknife.
  • Minister Wawzonek will be meeting with Catherine M. MacDonald, Chief Executive Officer, Naka Power Utilities (NWT), Jay Massie, Vice President, Northern Development & Indigenous Relations, ATCO Electric and Darrell Beaulieu, President and Chief Executive Officer, Denendeh Investments Incorporated on April 17 in Yellowknife.
