Ministerial Travel 

Please note that travel schedules may change with little or no notice. This schedule is accurate as of February 23, 2026. 

  • Premier Simpson and Minister Cleveland will be traveling to Toronto, ON, from February 27 to March 2 to attend the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC).
    • Minister Cleveland will be meeting with Yukon Minister Laking and Nunavut Minister Simailak (March 1)
  • Minister Macdonald and Minister Wawzonek will be traveling to Toronto, ON, from March 1-2 to attend PDAC.
    • Minister Wawzonek will be presenting at the Unlocking Canada’s future through the NWT’s big three projects technical session (March 2)
    • Minister Macdonald will be meeting with Federal Minister Julie Dabrusin (March 2)

  • Minister Cleveland will be providing opening remarks at the Regional Forum of Francophone Immigration Networks (RIFs) of the Prairies and the North on February 24 in Yellowknife.
  • Premier Simpson will be meeting with Fort Providence Métis Nation President, Albert Lafferty, on February 25 in Yellowknife.
  • Premier Simpson, Minister McKay, Minister Macdonald, Minister Wawzonek, Minister Kuptana and Minister Cleveland will be meeting with Inuvialuit Regional Corporation Chair and CEO, Erwin Elias, on February 25 in Yellowknife.
  • Minister McKay, Minister Semmler, and Minister Macdonald will be attending the Opening Reception for NWT Association of Communities 2026 AGM on February 26 in Yellowknife.
  • Minister Cleveland will be meeting with Thebacha Leadership Council on February 26 in Yellowknife.
  • Minister McKay, Minister Semmler, Minister Wawzonek, Minister Kuptana and Minister Macdonald will be attending the Cabinet Session at the NWT Association of Communities 2026 AGM on February 28 in Yellowknife.
  • Minister Kuptana will be meeting with the Yellowknife Street Support Network on March 2 in Yellowknife.
