Ministerial Activities Advisory for the week of January 27-February 2, 2026
Ministerial Travel

- Minister Cleveland, Minister Wawzonek and Minister Macdonald will be traveling to Vancouver, BC, from January 27-28 to attend the Association for Mineral Exploration (AME) Roundup. Premier Simpson will attend AME Roundup on January 26.
- Premier Simpson will be traveling to Ottawa, ON, from January 27-29 to:
- Meet with Federal Minister Steven MacKinnon, Minister of Transportation, Premier Currie Dixon of Yukon and Premier John Main of Nunavut (Jan 28)
- Speak at the Canadian-Nordic Arctic Symposium on a panel discussion with Nunavut Premier John Main (Jan 28)
- Meet with Federal Minister Rebecca Alty, Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs (Jan 28)
- Meet with the Council of the Federation (Jan 28)
- Meet with Federal Minister Rebecca Chartrand, Northern and Arctic Affairs (Jan 28)
- Meet with British Columbia Premier David Eby (Jan 28)
- Attend the First Ministers’ Meeting (Jan 29)
- Appear before the House of Commons Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development to discuss Canada’s Arctic Foreign Policy (Jan 29)
- Minister Cleveland will be traveling to Ottawa, ON, from January 29-30 to attend the Early Learning and Child Care Federal, Provincial & Territorial meeting.
- Minister Cleveland will be meeting with Minister Sidhu, Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade and Economic Development of Canada on January 29.

- Minister Cleveland and Minister Wawzonek will be virtually Co-chairing the Federal Provincial and Territorial Energy and Mines Ministers’ Meeting (EMMC) with The Honourable Tim Hodgson, Federal Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, on February 2.
- Minister Cleveland will be meeting with De Beers Canada on February 2 in Yellowknife.
