  • Premier Simpson will be traveling to Ottawa, ON from October 25-26 to:
    • Attend the Assembly of First Nations Day of Ceremony;
    • Attend the First Nations-First Ministers’ Meeting.

  • Minister Wawzonek will be virtually attending the House of Commons’ Standing Committee on Indigenous and Northern Affairs (INAN) to provide testimony as a witness for its study of affordability challenges in Northern Canada on October 20.
  • Minister Macdonald will be providing opening remarks at the 2026 Annual NWT Water Stewardship Strategy Implementation Workshop on October 21 in Yellowknife.
  • Premier Simpson will be meeting with Deputy Auditor Andrew Hayes on October 22 in Yellowknife.
  • Minister Cleveland will be attending the YK Chamber Award Gala on October 24 in Yellowknife.
  • Minister Cleveland will be attending La Fédération franco‑ténoise appreciation event dedicated to Francophone early childhood educators on October 24 in Yellowknife.
