YELLOWKNIFE (December 18, 2013) – A new and improved Industry, Tourism and Investment (ITI) website launched today with a strong focus on client needs.

“ITI has always prided itself on having a strong relationship with our clients, and this new site will be a great way for residents to access the information they need, quickly and easily,” said Minister of Industry, Tourism and Investment David Ramsay.  “The new site provides an enhanced web user experience and contains current, accurate information on ITI programs and services.”

The site features a fresh look, current information highlighted on the homepage and easy navigation. Client-based material is the focus, with information on tourism and business funding, programs and services offered by ITI, and industry information on energy, petroleum and mines. There is also a section on what Devolution will mean to the department as it assumes new responsibilities for resource development as of April 1, 2014.

The new site will also enable ITI to respond to recommendations contained in the Economic Opportunities Strategy to better promote and market available business programs and services and to work with partners to improve online program application and delivery processes.

The redesigned website is part of the Government of the Northwest Territories’ ongoing efforts to enhance the quality and availability of its resources and services to the residents of the Northwest Territories.
