Minister hosts Open Government community meetings

YELLOWKNIFE (March 23, 2017) – Minister Responsible for Public Engagement and Transparency Louis Sebert wants to hear from the public about how we can make the Government of the Northwest Territories more open.

As part of its work to develop an open government policy, Minister Sebert will host open houses in the following communities:

  • Norman Wells – March 27, 2017
    Heritage Hotel Boardroom – 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
  • Inuvik – March 28, 2017
    Permafrost Boardroom, Mackenzie Hotel – 6:00 to8:00 p.m.
  • Tuktoyaktuk – March 29, 2017
    Mangilaluk School Gymnasium – 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
  • Fort McPherson – March 30, 2017
    Council Chambers – 5:00 to 7:00 pm.

Refreshments will be served.

Minister Sebert is engaging with the public as part of the GNWT’s work to develop an open government policy. Meetings have already been held in Fort Smith, Hay River and Fort Providence. Meetings are also being planned for Behchoko, Fort Simpson, Fort Liard, Nahanni Butte, Fort Resolution and Yellowknife.
