The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) is inviting nominations for the 2025 NWT Outstanding Volunteer Awards.

The GNWT launched the Northwest Territories (NWT) Outstanding Volunteer Awards program in 1991 to recognize the great contributions volunteers make to the quality of life in the NWT. 

Nominations are accepted in four categories: Youth (under 25), Individual (25-54), Elder (55+) and Group.

Nominations for the NWT Outstanding Volunteer Awards are accepted year-round.  The deadline for nominations for 2025 is November 26, 2025. Nominations can be submitted online (NWT Outstanding Volunteer Awards Nomination Form); faxed to us at (867) 920-6467, emailed to youth_and_volunteer@gov.nt.ca, or mailed to the following address:

The territorial award recipients will be honoured at an official presentation ceremony in Yellowknife in February 2026.
