October 27, 2011 - Premier Bob McLeod, and Ministers Michael Miltenberger, Jackson Lafferty, Tom Beaulieu, Glen Abernethy, David Ramsay, and Robert C. McLeod were officially sworn in today by Commissioner Tuccaro after being elected by their peers in yesterday’s elections.

Formal motions to ratify the appointments to the Executive Council were also brought forward in the House and passed by Members of the 17th Legislative Assembly.

The makeup of the Executive Council follows the established practice of maintaining a regional balance with two Members selected from northern constituencies, two from southern constituencies, and two from Yellowknife.

The Premier will assign cabinet portfolios at a later date.
