The Minister of Health and Social Services, Julie Green, is seeking nominations for vacancies on the Regional Wellness Councils (RWC) for the Beaufort-Delta, Dehcho, Fort Smith, Hay River, and Yellowknife regions.
The Regional Wellness Councils are a key part of Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA) governance, with the chairs of each Council becoming part of the Leadership Council. The Leadership Council provides direction to the NTHSSA. Given the current opportunities and challenges in the provision of health and social services, being a member of the RWC is an important role.
The Regional Wellness Councils ensure residents from across the Northwest Territories have an opportunity to provide input into the territorial health and social services system. The Councils help inform policy and programming decisions across the territory.
The nomination deadline is June 30, 2023.
